Privacy laws and the GDPR – keeping and respecting information about you
The New Zealand Privacy Act gives you the right to access and correct any information held about you by any organisation.
And now the GDPR is a European Union (EU) privacy law that regulates how organisations that treats or uses the personal data of people located in the EU. Personal data is any piece of data that, used alone or with other data, that could identify a person.
This means you have the right to request your personal data be corrected, provided to you, stopped for some specified use, or removed completely. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a Data Protection Regulator.
I won’t pass your personal information on or sell it any form. Full confidentiality is part of the coaching ethics, which, I believe includes any data about you. If you have any concerns about this, please contact me directly at sharon@UBeU.com
Any data is stored beyond the time you contract me is only for legal purposes, e.g. in accordance with tax law.
Any information about you is only used for anything I do with you. It’s stored on the server I use, behind a firewall. I make sure I use providers who will prevent unauthorised or unlawful data processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage.
